By the time you read this article, our new signs should be completed, at least most of them will be. In addition to the internal signs built last year, residents suggested three additional locations. The work has already started, with the footings being poured last week. We are continuing to use the same design, with brick columns. The signs will offer directions to pools and the swim and tennis club.

We are also replacing the sign at the Clubhouse and Golf Course entrance on Bayview Drive. This sign will be similar to the new entrances, with brick columns and wrought iron. We are able to make these nice changes within Lake Forest due to your generosity, at our annual golf tournament, last October. PLEASE be sure to support our tournament this year, in order for our work to continue.

I hope you remember April 4th will be our median clean up day. Twice a year, once in the spring and also in the fall, we get together to do extra work in the medians. We need everyone possible to help us that day. We will prune the crepe myrtles, pick up trash and use string trimmers to clear out weeds. See you at the clubhouse at 8:30 AM. Bring rakes, shears, gloves and water, if it a warm spring day. For those who cannot attend meetings, this is your chance to do your part for Lake Forest!

The Improvement Committee has Tee Shirts for sale. We thought Lake Forest residents might like a cool shirt that shows pride in our community. When we attend city council meetings or other events, these shirts will draw attention to our numbers and cause. They are bright yellow. We will be noticed! They will be $17.00.
