Lake Forest Women’s Club held the traditional “Past Presidents Tea” at the Yacht Club on September 10, 2009. Lura Kauffman welcomed the Women who served as president in the past. Those who were in attendance were: Nancy Weibel, Tomasina Werner, Alice Albright, Dino Salmi, Shirley Kossow, Patricia Popp and Lura Kauffman. Each gave a short presentation of their time as president and their accomplishments. It was fun to reminisce and share memories.

Alice Albright, 2009-10 Program Chairman, gave a preview of the events and programs for the upcoming year. Some examples are the Daphne Fire Department, the Daphne Library, Prodisee Pantry, St. Patrick’s Dinner/Dance, Game Day & Hat Day. The speakers and programs will be interesting, educational and entertaining. Charitable activities are also an important part of the Women’s Club annual program.

The Lake Forest Women’s Club meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:30 @ the Yacht Club. New members and guests are welcomed. The “Purpose” of the organization is to promote social interest and good will in the community.
