Lake Forest Community Women’s Club
The Lake Forest Community Women’s Club meeting in February was quite enjoyable. Our president, Lura Kauffman called the meeting to order and welcomed new members and guests. Madeline Harris read the “Inspiration of the Day” and the members were encouraged and motivated by her words and verses.
The hostesses were Helen Bajek, Betty Ehlenberg, Wanda Patterson, Dino Salmi and Lucy Wirth. The hostesses always provide delicious refreshments and beautiful decorations that set a wonderful atmosphere for the monthly meetings. Our club is grateful to the many talented ladies who volunteer for all the needs of our organization.
Guest speaker, Pat Norton of Pat Norton Interiors enlightened the group with the many aspects of “Colors” in the home and in you personality. She suggested that we pay close attention to colors. Color says a lot about your personality. Pat discussed how you’re like or dislike of certain colors in clothing or home furnishings relate to your traits and behavior. Her presentation was quite interesting and delightful.
The purpose of the Lake Forest Community Women’s Club is to promote social interest and good will in the community. The regular meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at the country club @ 9:45 a.m. New members and guests are welcomed.
