Jubilee Challenge
The Men’s Golf Association of Lake Forest and Timber Creek have initiated a competition that will span three weekends this summer. The matches began May 24-25 at Lake Forest and will move to Timber Creek while our new greens become established.
Lake Forest, led by Captain Ralph Challoner, has taken the early lead in points and plans to continue to dominate the contest. The format of the Challenge is four 9-hole matches over two days. The four matches and their points are Scramble (6), Alternate Shot (6), Best Ball (6), and Individual (12).
Lake Forest is three points ahead (16.5-13.5) after the first round. The scoring is listed below.
Scramble - Lake Forest-3, Timber Creek-3
Alternate Shot - Lake Forest-3.5, Timber Creek-2.5
Best Ball - Lake Forest-4, Timber Creek-2
Individual - Lake Forest-6, Timber Creek-6
The next competition will be June 21-22 at Timber Creek.
