Garden Club
The purpose and energies of the Lake Forest Garden Club are directed toward the beautification of Lake Forest. Members also participate in additional activities for preserving the natural beauty of the Eastern Shore.
The club provides cultivation instruction on plants that grow in lower Alabama since many newcomers to the area are establishing new lawns. Programs center on gardening.
A special feature is the Yard of the Month Award given in recognition of homeowners' work and care of their yards. The Garden Club meets on the first Thursday of each month September through May at 10 a.m. until noon at the Lake Forest Country Club. Residents, new members and guests are welcome. You do not need to be an expert gardener to join-most of us are there to learn, so please join us!

Presidents Message:
How exciting to be president of one of the most energetic and progressive garden clubs in southern Baldwin County. Here today and not gone tomorrow is our philosophy as is apparent with every turn through our beautiful forest. While our club has evolved and grown with the times, its membership and dedication to this community remains a constant. No, the Lake Forest Garden Club can’t be accused of being a stuffy, boring group. We are enthusiastic and passionate about creativity and focus on our challenging projects ahead. So OK, lets get out our clippers, we’ve got a little work to do! And with such a broad range of interesting speakers this year, we are sure to learn something along the way. So as our club continues to grow, lets also see who can bring the most visitors to our club this year. I shall award a presidents prize in May to the member who wins…it might just be you.
Fondly,
Connie Haines
