Garden Club

Document Actions

The purpose and energies of the Lake Forest Garden Club are directed toward the beautification of Lake Forest. Members also participate in additional activities for preserving the natural beauty of the Eastern Shore.

The club provides cultivation instruction on plants that grow in lower Alabama since many newcomers to the area are establishing new lawns. Programs center on gardening.

A special feature is the Yard of the Month Award given in recognition of homeowners' work and care of their yards. The Garden Club meets on the first Thursday of each month September through May at 10 a.m. until noon at the Lake Forest Yacht Club. Residents, new members and guests are welcome. You do not need to be an expert gardener to join-most of us are there to learn, so please join us!
